The original pet stews formulated with Balanced Omega Blend.

All the added Omega-3 fatty acids in Caru homestyle stews are derived from Microalgae Oil. The most common source of Omega-3s is fish meal and oil, which due to overfishing are increasingly in short supply. Microalgae, on the other hand, are a totally sustainable, pollutant-free nutrient source.

Planet-friendly packaging.

Caru was the first North American pet food company to pack their products in Tetra Pak® cartons and bottles. These containers are made from up to 70% paper, a renewable resource. Plus, all the wood that makes the paperboard for Caru cartons and bottles comes from forests certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. These trees are harvested responsibly, so there’s no net loss of forest over time.

By choosing packages bearing the Tetra Pak and FSC labels, you’re doing your part to protect forests around the world. We’re currently working with our manufacturing partners to pack the rest of Caru products with equally sustainable materials.
